About Easter Worship Services
Sunrise Worship + Communion | 7:30 a.m.
The Sunrise Worship Service is contemplative as we come out of Holy Week and enter into the proclamation of Jesus’ resurrection. Communion is celebrated at this service. All who believe in the promises of Jesus’ victory over sin and death are welcome to communion. Gluten Free bread and grape juice are available. Children of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend!
Celebration Worship | 9:30 a.m.
The Celebration Service is filled with hymns, choir anthems and special music as we sing Alleluia and proclaim Jesus’ victory over death. Children of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend!

As you arrive, our main parking is located to the east of the building. There is also on-street parking to the north, south and west. Need to drop off young children or a family member or friend with mobility limitations? Feel free to drive up to the east doors and one of our Doorholders will assist you. When you enter the church, our ushers will greet you and can answer any questions you have!
Kids are welcome and encouraged to participate in the entire service. If you have a young one that needs to exit during the service, please feel free to do so - but at Hawley Lutheran, we don’t mind the sound of kids! Relax and let them be little! Both services will include a Children’s Message. An adult or older sibling is welcome to accompany children to the front for this time.
You may wonder what to wear when you worship with us! At Hawley Lutheran the answer is whatever is comfortable! Pastor Andrea will be in traditional pastor robes and stoles, but we invite all people to come as you are!
A free-will Easter breakfast will be served by our Sr. High Mission team between services. All are welcome!
Holy Week Services and Events
Palm Sunday Worship
Sunday, April 13 | 9:30 a.m.
Palm Sunday worship commemorates Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, led by our Treasure Kids singing and waving palms. This service is marked hymns of praise, and ends with somber contemplation as we enter Holy Week.
Maundy Thursday
Thursday, April 17 | 7:00 p.m.
Maundy Thursday worship services commemorate Jesus' Last Supper. This blended service combines aspects of our modern and traditional services. We also celebrate with our Fifth Graders and their families as they receive their first communion. The service ends with reading Psalm 22 and departs in silence.
Good Friday Tenebrae
Friday, April 18 | 7:00 p.m.
Good Friday Tenebrae is a service of mediation and reflection on the Passion of Christ. This service uses darkness, silence and the gradual extinguishing of candles to guide us in reflecting on Christ’s death. It is a deeply meaningful service, as we prepare for the celebration of Easter.
Family Easter
Saturday, April 19 | 9:30 a.m.
Join us at Hawley Lutheran for our Family Easter Celebration. We gather for an easter egg hunt for grades PreK - 4, craft, story time, a photo booth and the Easter Bunny! All are welcome!
